A closer look at what Rigel formats, who it’s built for, and exactly what you get — beyond the pitch on the main page.
Authors with a finished, text-only manuscript who need it formatted for print submission — to Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble Press, or Draft2Digital — without hiring a formatter or learning print layout themselves.
Print formatting has real technical requirements — trim size, margins, a binding gutter that scales with page count, chapter-opening conventions — and they differ by platform. Getting them wrong risks a rejected file or an unprofessional-looking book. Rigel calculates the correct numbers for your chosen platform and produces the finished file directly, instead of you learning print typesetting or paying someone else to.
A .docx manuscript file, text only. For manuscripts with embedded images — maps, chapter-heading art, or other illustrations — use Mirach instead.
A formatted DOCX and PDF, sized and margined for the platform you chose. Your finished output files are retained in your account indefinitely, so you can return and redownload them anytime.
Rigel does not accept manuscripts with embedded images — that’s Mirach. It does not write, edit, or rewrite your content. For IngramSpark specifically, Rigel produces a correctly-sized, correctly-margined file but does not currently produce their full PDF/X print-certified format — run your download through IngramSpark’s own free file checker before final submission.
Your uploaded manuscript is deleted automatically the moment either 3 exports have been used or 30 days have passed since your purchase, whichever comes first — or sooner, on request. Your finished, formatted output files are retained in your account indefinitely. See the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the full detail.
